Everything I Ate at Disneyland This Summer

Planning a Disneyland food trip this summer? I made it my mission to eat as many Disneyland favorites as possible, from iconic snacks to table service restaurants, and I'm sharing everything I ate—what I'd order again, what I'd skip, and what's actually worth your money.

If you're searching for the best food at Disneyland, Disneyland must-try snacks, or Disney California Adventure dining recommendations, this guide has you covered.

🍍Dark Chocolate Pineapple Spear (Wonderful World of Sweets & Disneyland Confectioneries) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was hands-down my favorite snack of the entire trip.

You can find the Dark Chocolate Pineapple Spear at Wonderful World of Sweets in Disney California Adventure or at the confectionery shops throughout Disneyland Resort. I loved it so much that I bought one every single day.

The pineapple is incredibly juicy, sweet, and refreshing, while the dark chocolate adds just the right amount of richness without overpowering the fruit. Somehow it feels indulgent and refreshing at the same time, making it the perfect afternoon snack on a hot California day.

Don't skip this one. It quickly became one of my all-time favorite Disneyland treats.

🍞Deep Fried Hawaiian Rolls (Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs – Downtown Disney) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I almost skipped these because they sounded a little over the top, but I'm so glad I didn't.

The Deep Fried Hawaiian Rolls from Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs in Downtown Disney are exactly what they sound like: sweet Hawaiian rolls that are deep fried, coated in cinnamon sugar, and drizzled with sweetened condensed milk. They're crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside, and taste like the love child of a donut and a King's Hawaiian roll.

They're definitely a little greasy, but in the best possible way. This is one of those treats that feels like fair food, and I would happily crawl back to Downtown Disney just to eat another one.

If you have room for dessert before or after your park day, don't miss these. They may be one of the best new snacks at Disneyland Resort this summer.

🌯 Breakfast Chimichanga (Big Thunder Mountain Food Cart) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you know, you know.

The Breakfast Chimichanga is one of Disneyland's best hidden gems, and I rope drop it almost every visit. My routine is riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad first thing in the morning, then heading straight to the food cart before they sell out—which they usually do pretty early.

It's crispy, cheesy, filling, and definitely greasy in the best way possible. Every time I eat one, I wish I could order two...until I finish the first one.

Pro tip: Get it with the salsa verde. It takes an already amazing breakfast to the next level.

🥙 Ronto Morning Wrap (Ronto Roasters) ⭐⭐☆☆☆

I had heard so many great things about the Ronto Morning Wrap, so I was excited to finally try it.

Unfortunately, this one just wasn't for me.

The pita tasted dry, the eggs reminded me of hotel continental breakfast eggs, and the sausage had more of a hot dog flavor than breakfast sausage. I know this has a lot of fans, but I probably wouldn't order it again.

🥤 Black Caf Slushie (Kat Saka's Kettle) ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

I usually find the regular Black Caf Cold Brew a little too bitter, so I thought the slushie version might be a better fit.

It definitely wasn't as bitter, but honestly it reminded me of a blended Costco coffee drink. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't memorable.

I don't think I'd order it again.

☕️ Mickey Beignets (Mint Julep Bar) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It was so good, I went back the next day for another one.

🍪 Chocolate Chip Cookies (Harbour Galley) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

These are, without question, the best cookies at Disneyland.

They're served warm, they're soft with slightly doughy centers, and they're the perfect size.

My recommendation?

Yes, really.

You'll thank yourself later.

🥐 Cheesy Garlic Pretzel Bread & Chocolate Croissant Cookie (Maurice's Treats) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Maurice's Treats never disappoints.

The Cheesy Garlic Pretzel Bread is warm, soft, cheesy, and incredibly flavorful.

The Chocolate Croissant Cookie is equally incredible. It has all the buttery layers you'd expect from a croissant with plenty of chocolate packed into every bite.

If you're walking through Fantasyland, these are both worth stopping for.

🍧 Dole Whip (The Tropical Hideaway) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

People always say they've had Dole Whip, but if you haven't had it at Disneyland...you really should.

It's unbelievably creamy for being dairy-free and is one of the most refreshing treats you can get on a hot day.

I love grabbing one before heading into Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. It's become one of my favorite Disneyland traditions.

🥤 Lime Ice Block Drink & Mud Cake Cold Brew (Troubadour Tavern) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Troubadour Tavern ended up being one of my favorite places to grab a drink this trip because both of these were surprisingly delicious.

Lime Ice Block Drink ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you're looking for something refreshing on a hot Disneyland day, the Lime Ice Block Drink is a fantastic choice.

It's bright, citrusy, and refreshing without being overly sweet. As the ice block slowly melts, it keeps your drink nice and cold while adding even more lime flavor. It's the perfect drink to cool off with during the afternoon, and I'd absolutely order it again.

Mud Cake Cold Brew ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This might be one of my favorite Disneyland coffee drinks I've tried.

The Mud Cake Cold Brew is rich, chocolatey, and tastes almost like a decadent mocha dessert. Even if you're someone who normally finds Disney's cold brew drinks too bitter (like I do), this one is much smoother and incredibly easy to drink.

It's definitely on the richer side, so I think it works best as an afternoon treat or dessert rather than a morning coffee. I would happily order this again on my next trip.

🥪 Battered & Fried Monte Cristo Sandwich at Café Orleans (Disneyland Park)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you're looking for one of the best table service meals at Disneyland, Café Orleans should absolutely be on your list.

Make a dining reservation if you can. This is one of Disneyland's most popular table service restaurants, and reservations can save you a long wait, especially during the busy summer season.

We ordered the famous Battered & Fried Monte Cristo Sandwich, and it absolutely lived up to the hype.

The sandwich is wrapped in a light, crispy batter that's almost like eating a savory beignet. It's rich without being too heavy, especially when paired with the berry purée.

The real surprise for me, though, was the Pommes Frites. They're crispy, perfectly seasoned, and honestly some of the best fries anywhere in Disneyland Resort.

We split the Monte Cristo between two people, and it was plenty of food for lunch.

If you're deciding where to make a Disneyland dining reservation, Café Orleans is one of my top recommendations.

🥪 Carthay Circle Lounge (Disney California Adventure)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you're looking for a more relaxed meal with elevated food, Carthay Circle Lounge is one of the best dining experiences in Disney California Adventure.

It's a table service restaurant, and I highly recommend making a dining reservation before your trip if possible. The lounge is incredibly popular, especially during lunch and dinner.

We originally hoped to sit outside because the patio has such a fun atmosphere, but it was simply too hot that afternoon. Thankfully, the indoor seating was beautiful, comfortable, and made for a really relaxing break from the parks.

We started with the Spicy Ahi Tuna Spring Roll with Avocado, Sesame, Cucumber, and Fresh Coriander, and it was easily one of my favorite dishes of the trip. It reminded me of a fresh sushi roll wrapped in delicate rice paper instead of seaweed. It was light, refreshing, and full of fresh flavors that felt perfect for summer.

We also ordered the "Naanza," topped with fresh garbanzo hummus, Moroccan tomato chutney, and feta.

It wasn't very large, so I wouldn't plan on sharing it with a big group, but every bite was packed with flavor. The hummus and tomato chutney made it feel fresh while still being filling.

I would absolutely eat at Carthay Circle Lounge again. Between the atmosphere, the service, and the quality of the food, it's one of the best places to slow down and enjoy a meal in Disney California Adventure.

If you're planning one special meal during your trip, I highly recommend making a reservation here.
