The Ultimate Guide to Disneyland Paris
If you love Disney parks in the United States, there’s a good chance visiting Disneyland Paris is already on your bucket list. But if you’re used to Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort, you might be wondering:
Is Disneyland Paris actually different enough to be worth the trip? The short answer: yes.
Disneyland Paris combines classic Disney storytelling with European architecture, unique rides, incredible theming, and some of the most beautiful versions of Disney attractions in the world.
Here’s everything you need to know before planning your visit.

📍Where Disneyland Paris Is Located
Disneyland Paris is located in Marne-la-Vallée, about 20 miles (32 km) east of Paris.
One of the reasons Disneyland Paris is such a great addition to a European vacation is how easy it is to reach from both the city and the airport.
🚆 Getting There from Paris
If you're staying in central Paris, the easiest way to get to the parks is the RER A regional train, which runs directly from central Paris to Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station, located right outside the Disney parks.
Travel time: about 40–45 minutes
The train station is steps from the park entrance
Trains run frequently throughout the day
✈️ Getting There from the Airport
Most international visitors arrive at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
From the airport, you have several convenient options:
High-Speed Train (TGV)
The fastest option is the TGV high-speed train, which runs directly from the airport to Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station in about 10 minutes.
Private Transfers or Shuttle Services
Many travelers choose a private transfer or shared shuttle service that takes you directly from the airport to your Disney hotel.
Rental Car
Driving takes about 35–45 minutes, depending on traffic.
Compared to Walt Disney World Resort, where transportation between the airport and resort can take over an hour, getting to Disneyland Paris is surprisingly quick and easy.
The Two Parks at Disneyland Paris
Like Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris has two theme parks located right next to each other.
Disneyland Park
The main park at the resort is Disneyland Park, and many Disney fans consider it the most beautiful Magic Kingdom-style park in the world.
At the center is Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant, the park’s stunning Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Unlike the castles in the U.S. parks, this one was designed specifically with European fairy-tale castles in mind, and it even features a walk-through dragon animatronic beneath the castle.

Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park)
The resort’s second park is currently Walt Disney Studios Park, but a major milestone is happening in 2026.
On March 29, 2026, the park will officially be renamed Disney Adventure World as part of a massive expansion and reimagining of the park.
That same day will also mark the opening of the brand-new World of Frozen, an immersive land that recreates the Kingdom of Arendelle from Frozen.
This new area features:
The Frozen Ever After boat attraction
Character encounters with Anna and Elsa
Dining and shops themed to Arendelle
A large central lake called Adventure Bay that will host a new nighttime spectacular
The transformation is part of a multi-billion-euro investment that will nearly double the size of the park and shift its focus from “behind the scenes of filmmaking” to fully immersive Disney, Pixar, and Marvel worlds.
Other areas of the park include:
Avengers Campus
Worlds of Pixar, featuring attractions inspired by Pixar films
A future land inspired by The Lion King (opening date in 2028–2029)
For American visitors familiar with Disney California Adventure or Hollywood Studios, Disney Adventure World will feel similar in concept—but with a much heavier focus on immersive lands rather than studio backlot themes.

🏩 The Hotels at Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris has several on-site Disney hotels, all within walking distance or a short shuttle ride from the parks.
The most iconic is Disneyland Hotel, which sits directly at the entrance to Disneyland Park and recently reopened after a major royal-themed renovation.
Other Disney hotels include:
Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel – Superhero theme in a contemporary New York setting
Disney's Newport Bay Club – nautical New England theme
Disney's Sequoia Lodge – inspired by American national parks
Disney's Hotel Cheyenne – Wild West themed
Disney's Hotel Santa Fe – themed to Cars
If you’re used to Walt Disney World, the biggest difference is how close everything is. Most hotels are 10–15 minutes from the parks.

What Makes Disneyland Paris Different From U.S. Parks
If you’re a Disney Parks regular, here are some things that might surprise you.
The Parks Are Stunning
Disneyland Paris is widely known as the most beautifully designed Disney park. Imagine classic Disney lands mixed with European architecture, detailed landscaping, and elaborate storytelling.
The Food Is Different (Not Necessarily Better)
Compared to U.S. parks, Disneyland Paris offers:
French pastries
Fresh baguette sandwiches
European cheeses
Better coffee and wine options
Dining also tends to feel a little more relaxed and sit-down focused.
Shows and Entertainment Are Spectacular
Disneyland Paris is famous for its high-energy stage shows and parades. Costumes, choreography, and production value often feel closer to Broadway than typical theme park entertainment.

🎟️ How Many Days You Need
Most visitors spend:
2–3 days at the parks
Additional time exploring Paris
Because the resort is compact, you can experience a lot without the week-long commitment required for Walt Disney World.
⏰ When to Visit Disneyland Paris
Some of the most popular seasons include:
Spring (April–June) for mild weather
Fall (September–October) for lighter crowds
Christmas season, when the resort transforms with decorations and holiday entertainment
If you’re planning a European vacation, adding Disneyland Paris is an easy way to bring a little Disney magic to your trip.

🇫🇷 Planning Your Disneyland Paris Trip (Without the Stress)

That’s where I come in!
I help my clients plan seamless Disneyland Paris vacations from start to finish, so you don’t have to worry about navigating international logistics, transportation, or figuring out how everything fits together—completely for free!
✅ What I Help With
When you book your Disneyland Paris trip with me, I take care of all the details, including:
Park tickets and vacation packages
Disney hotel reservations (or off-site hotel guidance)
Dining plans and restaurant recommendations
Transportation to and from the resort
Park strategy and must-do attractions
Special experiences and magical extras
One of the biggest questions I get is: “How do I actually get from Paris to Disneyland Paris?”
I help coordinate that for you—whether that’s the RER train, high-speed TGV, or a private transfer—so your travel day feels simple and stress-free.
🧳 Adding Disneyland Paris to a European Trip
One of the best things about visiting Disneyland Paris is how easily it fits into a larger itinerary.
Many of my clients choose to add Disney at:
The beginning of their trip (to kick things off with something fun and familiar)
The end of their trip (as a relaxing, magical finale)
Because the resort is just outside Paris, it’s incredibly easy to combine a few Disney park days with time exploring the city—or even as part of a multi-country European vacation.
And fun fact: Disneyland Paris is actually the most visited tourist destination in France—even more than many of Paris’s famous landmarks.
